Corporate social responsibility
Forte is one of the distinctive companies in the CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY (CSR). Attention is given to: wastefulness, energetic consumption optimization, wastes cycle, by-products reuse, employees, the environment in which we live together with children, the territory in which we operate.
FORTE® chooses a new way to do business and to be company. Saving and Environment: raw materials and resources consumption reduction, bigger control of industry and investments in innovation for the re-use of the by-products coming from production.
Use of alternative energy sources. Today FORTE® is among the first companies of the sector to have used Calcium-Zinc (Ca-Zn) elements instead of the lead composites (Pb) for the stabilization of the PVC made compound. Today, Forte srl use ecological stabilizing substances for more than 95% of production.
Internal and local priorities: new business strategies are focused on the involvement of the employees but also on the launching of new supportive campaigns that focused, above all, on the local area. Ethical supply chain: evaluation of the suppliers also in consideration of their appointment in the CSR.
FORTE® is one of the few manufacturers that can boast of a mechanical shredding system inside the company itself, which makes it possible to return the waste production to the form of "grains".
The reuse of PVC made by-products not only allows to give new life to a precious resource, but also to consider and to redesign production and applications of recycled PVC in order to obtain a greater added value in terms of technical and environmental performances.
The pre-consumption wastes coming from production, are "secondary raw materials at source" not undergoing any contamination; they don't contain foreign substances and can be used within the same production cycle that generated them without affecting the generated product itself.
The regenerated PVC being virgin PVC qualities alike, obtained from the FORTE® recycling plant, is today a key element in the eco-efficiency of many finished products that remain of very high quality.
The FORTE shower enclosures comply with the European Directive 89/106 / EEC (Construction products) and subsequent amendments and / or additions introduced by the European Directive 93/68 /EEC.
The implementation and compliance with the aforementioned directives are guaranteed by FORTE’s application of the EN 14428: 2008 regulation (Shower walls: functional requirements and test methods).
In fact, the EN14428: 2008 regulation requires that on the final product are conducted and respected specific tests of cleanability, impact resistance, corrosion resistance, resistance to chemical agents and stains, resistance to wet / dry cycles and duration of movable doors opening / closing cycles, stability according to UNI ISO 7892: 1990 and watertight.
FORTE® implements an Environmental Management System compliant with ISO 14001 to manage environmental issues and opportunities more efficiently and systematically.
The integration of the Environmental Management in the overall administration of the company, is a key point, being environment one of the aspects of significant effect. The environmental and management system assumes a central role in our organization, not only as a managerial means of environmental complexity, internal and external safety to company’s activities, but also as a means to transform environmental restrictions in business opportunity, to cut costs and save resources. ISO CERTIFIED 14001:2007 In these years, FORTE has worked to settle a company culture that takes into account and consider, with methodological approach, environmental impacts induced by strategic and operational strategies, adopting all the necessary instruments to work in compliance with mandatory regulations linked to environment.
